Tudor Arghezi Park, the largest and first park built in Bucharest after 1989, was inaugurated on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. On the occasion of the 564th anniversary of the city’s first documentary attestation, the residents of Bucharest received a special gift. Tudor Arghezi Park, the newest park in Bucharest, opened its gates wide for those eager to relax, exercise, and socialize in an oasis of greenery and tranquility. At the inauguration, the space became crowded with hundreds of people who wanted to visit it for the first time.

Located on Metalurgiei Boulevard in Sector 4, in an area undergoing rapid urban development where many young families have chosen in recent years to establish their homes, Tudor Arghezi Park currently covers an area of 4 hectares. Initially designed for a smaller area, the park was gradually expanded through expropriation, with the goal of increasing the green surface in this zone. In the end, it is expected that the park will cover at least 8 hectares, according to statements from local authorities.

The main theme of the park is dedicated to sports, as this is the specific focus of this new park, where a 1,670-meter athletics track, a bike lane, scooter tracks, and fitness equipment have already been installed. In the immediate vicinity, no fewer than 14 sports fields have been arranged, where sports enthusiasts can practice various ball games.

In addition, other recreational facilities have been created inside the park, such as an ecological beach and a special area for those who own pets.

The main attraction of the park is the Fountain of Flowers, a musical fountain that offers visitors a unique evening show of light and color.

Tudor Arghezi Park also provides other leisure facilities, including an ecological beach, and has a dedicated area for pet lovers, with a specially designed space for this purpose.

A multi-level parking lot with 150 spaces is available for those who wish to visit the newest and, probably, the most modern park in Bucharest — Tudor Arghezi Park. Regarding green spaces, over 160 Japanese cherry trees have been planted in the park. Alongside the approximately 500 trees already planted in this area and the 2,500 ivy plants, these will transform the park into a true green oasis, practically becoming an urban forest.

In the near future, considering the rapid demographic development of the southern part of Sector 4, the local authority already plans to expand this park and add facilities to meet the needs of residents living in this part of the city.

The new residential project developed under the Bucuria Residence brand has a total land area of 5,600 sqm, on which three mixed-use residential buildings are already under construction. These form the project together with the new parking areas for residents and visitors, playgrounds, green spaces, and relaxation areas.

The building height regime is ideal, as the blocks, in addition to having a clear and distinctive architecture, feature a simple volume and well-chosen color tones. They benefit from an authorized height of basement + ground floor + 4 floors + recessed floors 5, 6, and 7, contributing to a high level of comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the entire residential complex.

Upon completion, Bucuria Residence Brancoveanu will deliver 197 diverse housing units, very well compartmentalized, highly functional, carefully finished, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, accompanied by large terrace-type balconies.

Within the project, resident parking areas — both underground and above ground — will be carefully arranged and delimited. The access roads will be illuminated at night, and green spaces and playgrounds will be modernly arranged and equipped. Access to the residential complex will be secured with barriers, and individual intercoms will be installed in the apartments for complete safety.

Public service areas and utility annexes will be arranged so as not to limit residents’ access to the buildings, and the entire complex will be fenced on all sides.
