The standard period for instalment payments is 12 months (1 year), but in certain cases it can be extended.

What does paying for a home in instalments involve?
The general conditions are as follows:
- Identify the home you want and check if that property is included in the instalment payment system;
- Pay the required down payment within the residential project or development by signing a preliminary sale-purchase contract;
- Start paying the agreed instalments until the end of the contractual period;
- Upon completion and delivery of the property, you can move in and live as the owner, based on the promise of sale or the final sale-purchase contract, depending on the contractual policy of each developer;
- Pay the full value of the property through monthly or quarterly instalments, depending on your income flow.
The new payment method does not exclude credit or cash purchase.

The instalment payment system (price instalments) does not represent a credit activity, and no credit agreement is signed with consumers, i.e., home buyers, within the meaning of Order no. 4/2017 of January 11, 2017, issued by the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), and the provisions of Article 128 para. (1) letter a) and para. (5) of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 52/2016 regarding credit agreements offered to consumers for real estate, as well as for the amendment and completion of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 50/2010 on consumer credit agreements, since no credit contract is signed and no interest is charged.
